Rick Beasley has served as Executive Director of CareerSource South Florida since 2005, leading workforce development programs across Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. He oversees one of the nation’s largest regional workforce systems with a vision of building a world-class talent pipeline that supports economic growth and creates pathways to higher-skilled, better-paying careers.

Under Beasley’s leadership, CareerSource South Florida has launched several innovative workforce initiatives, including mobile workforce assistance centers, the implementation of Miami-Dade County’s First Source Ordinance and the development of the South Florida State of the Workforce Report. He has also expanded partnerships with colleges and universities to strengthen the region’s talent pipeline and connect employers with emerging graduates.

Beasley has played a prominent leadership role in South Florida’s business community, serving as Chair of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, becoming only the second African American to hold the position in the organization’s history.

Before joining CareerSource South Florida, Beasley served as Director of the Missouri Department of Economic Development’s Division of Workforce Development, where he led statewide workforce initiatives, managed more than 500 employees and oversaw a $250 million budget. Throughout his career, he has held leadership positions in both state government and the private sector, helping shape workforce and economic development policy at the state and regional levels.
