Melanie Dickinson is President and Publisher of the South Florida Business Journal, where she leads the region’s premier business news publication and oversees its continued growth as a leading digital-first media organization. Under her leadership, the publication has earned multiple industry awards while expanding its reach through innovative journalism and audience engagement.

Dickinson began her career in journalism with the Washington Journalism Review and later the Miami Herald. She joined the American City Business Journals network in 1997, serving in editorial, advertising and publishing leadership roles before returning to South Florida in 2008 to lead the South Florida Business Journal.

A passionate advocate for business leadership and economic growth, Dickinson founded the publication’s Women’s Leadership Group, an invitation-only network that connects and supports women executives and entrepreneurs across South Florida. She also serves on numerous civic and business boards, including Florida International University College of Business, the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, the Miami-Dade Beacon Council, the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce, the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County and the Broward Workshop.
