Louis King is President and Chief Executive Officer of OIC of America, where he leads a national network of 27 affiliates dedicated to expanding workforce development, career and technical education and economic opportunity. Since assuming the role in 2022, he has led the organization’s transformation through the Sullivan Training Network, creating strategic partnerships that connect individuals with high-demand career pathways while helping address America’s workforce needs.
Under King’s leadership, OIC of America has continued to expand its nationally recognized SOAR Reentry program in partnership with the U.S. Department of Labor, helping thousands of justice-involved individuals prepare for meaningful careers and long-term economic success.
Before joining OIC of America, King was the founding CEO of Summit Academy OIC, where he grew the organization into a leading workforce and education provider serving more than 1,000 adults annually. He has also championed STEM education and workforce pipeline initiatives, including leadership on the Northside STEM District and HIRE Minnesota, which helped expand opportunities for diverse talent in the skilled trades.
A native Floridian, King earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Morehouse College and served 10 years in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of major. He also serves on the boards of several organizations dedicated to education, health care and community development.
