Dr. Topeka K. Sam is a nationally recognized consultant, entrepreneur and advocate dedicated to advancing economic opportunity, emotional well-being and second chances. She is the founder of The Ladies of Hope Ministries, Inc. (The LOHM), EPIC Financial PBLLC, TKS Ventures LLC and Faces & Voices Inc. She also co-founded Music Thera-P and serves as Co-Founder and Visionary Officer of MyFRSH Financial Services. Together, these organizations use innovative, trauma-informed approaches to promote healing, financial empowerment and long-term success.

Dr. Sam serves on the boards of The Marshall Project, Operation Restoration, Pure Legacee and the United Justice Coalition. She also serves as a strategic advisor to RBIJ and HARP.

Since her release from federal prison in 2015, Dr. Sam has become a nationally respected voice on criminal justice reform, reentry and economic empowerment. She has delivered keynote addresses across the country, served on numerous boards and advisory councils and continued to expand both her businesses and nonprofit organizations while helping create opportunities for individuals and communities seeking a path forward.

View Channel 126 for 3 years and is now developing scripted
and unscripted series as an Executive Producer for TV & Film,
inspired by her fight to change the many problems that plague
female incarceration. Topeka has been featured in Vogue,
Essence, SalonTV, Vice, New York Times, TheCut, Rolling Stone
and Variety Magazine. She has shared her expertise on all
the topics listed and more one The Tamron Hall Show, CNN,
MSNBC and The Today Show. Additionally, has been featured
in Glamour Magazine and Black Enterprise for being “The Black
Woman behind the video that led to the Trump Clemency of
Alice Johnson.” She has spoken in the Women in the World
Conference, A White House Prison Reform Summit, is a Tedx
MidAtlantic Superheros Presenter, and has received many
awards for her contributions transforming the lives of women as
well as men and families impacted by the criminal legal system.
