Coree Cuff Lonergan is Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Broward County Transit, the second-largest public transit system in Florida. She leads more than 1,200 employees in delivering bus, community shuttle and paratransit services to Broward County’s 2.1 million residents while advancing PREMO, the county’s multibillion-dollar transit expansion initiative designed to improve mobility throughout South Florida.

A seasoned executive, Cuff Lonergan brings leadership experience across the transportation, energy, engineering services and healthcare sectors. She has held executive and management positions with Fortune 500 companies including CSX, Exelon and Fluor, as well as leadership roles with two of the nation’s largest transit agencies, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (Metro) and the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA).

Known for leading organizational transformation and operational excellence, Cuff Lonergan has guided initiatives that strengthen customer service, improve safety and drive strategic growth. Under her leadership, Broward County Transit has secured significant federal grant funding, accelerated major capital projects and received national recognition for innovation, sustainability and community engagement.

Cuff Lonergan holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Delaware and pursued a master’s degree in Organizational Dynamics at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a passionate advocate for science, technology and community leadership.
