Najahe Sherman is an Emmy-nominated, award-winning journalist and news anchor for CBS News Miami. She anchors the station’s noon, 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. newscasts while also reporting across multiple broadcasts and digital platforms. Throughout her career, she has covered major national and regional stories, including the 2024 presidential election, Hurricane Ian and issues surrounding criminal justice reform.
Before joining CBS News Miami, Sherman served as an anchor and host for BNC TV, a national news network reaching audiences across the United States. She has also held anchor and reporter positions in Tennessee, Louisiana and Missouri. She earned her degree from the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Kansas.
Dedicated to serving her community, Sherman frequently emcees events supporting organizations throughout South Florida, including OIC of South Florida, Girls Inc. of Greater Miami and the ALS Association. She has also mentored youth through Big Brothers Big Sisters and volunteered with Boys & Girls Clubs, helping nonprofit organizations raise significant support for their missions.
Sherman has been featured on the cover of FLL Fashion Week Magazine and in Nashville Lifestyles. A former Kansas City Chiefs cheerleader and Mrs. Louisiana America, she enjoys traveling, practicing yoga and spending time with her husband, their two children and their two Yorkshire Terriers.
